As our education standards continue to change, it is like students are taking a boat in a rushing river; along with the ups and downs they are filled with insecurities and eventually lose their directions.

Twenty years ago, Wong Bai-Shi, the founder of BAIS Cultural and Educational Group saw the ceasing of those fine, traditional qualities in our society and realized how important it is to promote proper ways of educating our future generations.Together, with a group of those who were passionate about education, Mr. Wong created an institute aimed to give children a well-rounded learning environment.

　　百世一貫堅持的教育理念“培養孩子獨立思考及解決問題的能力”。二十年來，這個近乎潔癖的理念不曾改變過，我們的堅持一次次的衝撞著現有教育常規，擺脫填鴨式、強灌式的傳統教學，試圖在教育的路上，教導學生清楚明瞭的學習基礎觀念，再以延伸性或組合性的題目，引領孩子思考解題的技巧，將艱澀難懂的題目簡單化條理化；經由對題目思考的習慣性，養成孩子解決問題的能力，將枯燥乏味的課堂注入了快樂的因子，拂去了多數人視數學為洪水猛獸的夢魘。

"Cultivating childern's ability of independent thinking and problem solving skills" has always been our mission statement at BAIS. Today, after twenty years, our mission remains solidly unchanged.Our mission to break away from the usual "forced fed" way of educating children and instead teach our children logically and clearly.At BAIS, our students learn from the basic and stretch their thinking to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. We teach our students how to solve difficult questions with good logical methods and make learning interesting and exciting!

　　如何在求學階段累積豐厚的實力，取決於個人的讀書計劃，根據報導民國93年大學錄取率達到110%，明顯的供需失衡，大學生程度遠遠不如二十年以前的4.2%，高學歷並不等於高能力，而今網際網路架設了無遠弗屆的平台，奈米科技、生化科技引爆了有史以來最慘烈的第三次產業革命，競爭的對象由一鄉一國，延伸到全世界所有的人類，正在求學的學子需要準備的課業加重了數倍，誰有把握在步出學堂，走入社會的時候，已擁有完備的武功，無懼於國際上各類強敵的挑戰。 

According to news report, university's admission rate reached 110% in 2004 and the proficiency of university students is far from the past 2.4%; educational level no longer equate with capability. With the dramatic advancement of Internet technology, nanotechnology, biotechnology, the world could possibly be entering into a third Industrial Revolution and how do we make sure that our children are fully equipped to face life's future challenges?

　　論語為政篇，子張問：『十世可知也？』子曰：『殷因於夏禮，所損益可知也；周因於殷禮，所損益可知也。其後繼周者，雖百世可知也。

Confucious' student asked how do we know what will happen ten dynasties later? Confucious replied: in every dynasty government alters the country's regalutions and standards and the consequences show in the people in the following dynasty. 
From Confucious teaching, we know that the standards and regulations of our country directly affect our children's education and furthermore their future and who they are as people.

 　　孔老夫子明確的告訴我們，在時代的輪替中，雖然制度及方法會隨著當時的需求而改變，但是最重要的精神本質，卻不會因為時間而變化，今天，雖然教育的學科及方法改變了，但是教育者的良知及對理念的堅持卻不可改變，我們必須教會孩子如何學會學習，我們必須幫助學生擁有獨立思考及解決問題的能力，我們必須讓孩子擁有面對未來挑戰的能力。

Like Confucius said, although policies change with time, we must hold on to the intrinsic values of our society. Even though our educational method and policy has changed, we must maintain our good ethics and missions as educators. We need to educate our children how to learn and provide them with the ability of think independently and solve problems critically.
After all, we need to let our children have the ability to take on their future!
